Responsibilities
- Champion and implement security best practices and automated tooling for secure development.
- Integrate security throughout the software development lifecycle with various teams.
- Consult and advocate for practical security approaches across different disciplines.
- Drive initiatives to improve the security of Spotify’s engineering ecosystem.
- Conduct threat modeling, security reviews, and risk assessments.
- Evaluate and integrate security solutions that enhance security outcomes.
- Stay current with AI security threats and mitigation strategies.
- Contribute to security incident response activities.
Requirements
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in security engineering or a related field.
- Proficient in writing code to integrate security tools and automate workflows.
- Expertise in backend development, AI/ML systems, or cloud infrastructure.
- Strong foundation in security concepts including cryptography and secure design.
- Ability to communicate security concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience working in agile environments and adapting to changing priorities.
- Proficient in one or more programming languages such as Java, Python, or TypeScript.
- Experience applying generative AI tools to security challenges.
- Understanding of common security risks and vulnerabilities in AI systems.
- Experience integrating security tooling into large-scale production environments.
