Responsibilities
- Design and build applications, microservices, and infrastructure for the Rethink First platform.
- Develop, design, test, deploy, support, and maintain websites and existing functionality.
- Ensure application performance, quality, and responsiveness.
- Collaborate with the team to define, design, and ship new features.
- Identify and correct bottlenecks, fix bugs, and optimize applications for efficiency and performance.
- Maintain code quality, organization, documentation, and automation.
- Use Cursor, Claude, and GitHub Copilot as day-to-day development tools and help improve their use without compromising code quality or security.
- Write and automate unit and integration tests.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science.
- At least 5 years of development experience.
- Proficiency with C#, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
- At least 3 years of experience with Azure or AWS cloud technologies.
- Experience developing and deploying infrastructure as code.
- Deep understanding of domain-driven and event-driven design and modern architecture patterns.
- Knowledge of design principles, algorithms, and data structures.
- Proficiency with Git and other code versioning tools.
- Experience writing and automating unit and integration tests.
- Daily hands-on experience using AI development tools such as Cursor, Claude, or GitHub Copilot as a primary workflow.
- Fluency in AI-assisted development, including effective prompting, reviewing and correcting generated code, and recognizing when not to rely on AI.
- Experience in health IT or the insurance industry is a plus.
