Site Reliability Engineer
Palo Alto NetworksResponsibilities
- Drive incident response, triage complex issues, and troubleshoot outages to ensure timely resolution.
- Establish monitoring, logging, and alerting practices using Datadog and Site24x7.
- Build reliability tooling and automated remediation solutions.
- Participate in a 365x24x7 on-call rotation and work shifts.
- Create and maintain infrastructure, process, and incident-management documentation, including SOPs and RCAs.
- Use Terraform and Ansible to automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and deployment.
- Optimize system performance and scalability, identify bottlenecks, and reduce cloud costs while maintaining reliability.
- Apply security best practices to protect infrastructure and data.
- Implement AI-based automation and productivity improvements.
- Collaborate with development, operations, and cross-functional teams to understand requirements and provide technical guidance.
Requirements
- 2–3 years of experience as a Site Reliability Engineer or Cloud Engineer.
- Strong proficiency with AWS cloud services, including EC2, S3, VPC, RDS, EKS, ECS, and CloudFormation.
- Strong scripting skills in Python, PowerShell, CDK, and shell scripting.
- Understanding of Terraform, Ansible, and AWX Tower for automation.
- Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
- Expertise with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools including Jenkins and GitHub.
- Exposure to CloudWatch, Datadog, ELK, Grafana, and Site24x7.
- Experience documenting Standard Operating Procedures and Root Cause Analyses.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work 24x7 shifts.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted software development and productivity improvements.
- AWS Certification and Security Certification are preferred.
