Responsibilities
- Define automation-first test strategies, measurable coverage, risk-based priorities, and release quality criteria with product, development, and business analyst teams.
- Own and evolve automated test architecture, frameworks, reusable components, and engineering standards across repositories.
- Design and implement API/service, component, end-to-end, contract, compatibility, BDD, and data-driven automated tests.
- Establish baseline, regression, load, performance, and reliability testing and turn results into engineering improvements.
- Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines with reporting, trend analysis, flaky-test detection, artifacts, and release-blocking quality thresholds.
- Lead defect prevention, root-cause analysis, failure triage, log and telemetry review, and follow-up fixes with engineering teams.
- Own testing across environments and release readiness, coordinate with service delivery and release teams, and validate production behavior after releases.
- Drive process and tooling improvements, documentation, knowledge sharing, and cross-team quality standards.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of hands-on test automation experience with strong C# and automation framework proficiency.
- Experience testing distributed systems, including RESTful, SOAP, and gRPC APIs, Windows services, and Kafka or ActiveMQ messaging platforms.
- Strong automation experience with BDD approaches, debugging, code reviews, and development of custom automation tools and utilities; SpecFlow or Reqnroll is preferred.
- Experience testing web and client-server applications with a good understanding of databases and SQL.
- Practical knowledge of containerized and orchestrated environments such as Docker and Kubernetes, including deployment and release workflows.
- Deep understanding of the software testing lifecycle from requirements analysis through QA/UAT sign-off and production release within an Agile delivery model.
- Knowledge of QA best practices, SDLC, version control, build, deployment, and test management tools.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
- Financial systems domain knowledge, such as trading platforms, CFDs, Forex, or real-time data, is a strong plus.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
