Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain RESTful APIs and scalable backend services using Python frameworks such as Django, FastAPI, or Flask.
- Develop and optimize PostgreSQL data models, SQL queries, migrations, caching strategies, and data integrity across services.
- Build and maintain frontend interfaces, cloud deployments, CI/CD pipelines, automated tests, and containerized or Kubernetes-based systems.
- Write unit, integration, and end-to-end tests and enforce code quality through reviews.
- Translate ambiguous requirements into technical designs and acceptance criteria while communicating progress, risks, and tradeoffs to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Mentor junior developers and review code, including AI-integration and validation logic.
Requirements
- 5-8+ years of professional software development experience with strong Python expertise.
- Expertise with Django or FastAPI and strong SQL skills with a relational database such as PostgreSQL.
- Experience designing REST APIs and implementing OAuth2 and JWT authentication or authorization patterns.
- Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP, including compute, storage, and managed databases.
- Experience with Git, code review workflows or GitFlow branching strategies, CI/CD pipelines, and maintainable test coverage.
- Strong communication, documentation, problem-solving, debugging, and full-stack development skills.
- Preferred: familiarity with LLM API integration, prompt engineering, structured or JSON outputs, RAG, embeddings, vector search, Docker, Kubernetes, and microservices architecture.
