Base Salary
$188k - $275k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and implement distributed storage solutions for AI workloads.
- Develop exabyte-scale, S3-compatible object storage.
- Optimize storage performance using RDMA and GPU Direct Storage.
- Lead improvements in reliability, durability, and security of storage systems.
- Collaborate with operations teams to monitor and troubleshoot storage systems.
- Create metrics and dashboards for storage performance visibility.
- Analyze telemetry data to enhance throughput and resilience.
- Work cross-functionally with platform and infrastructure teams.
- Mentor engineers on best practices for high-performance systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 8–10+ years of experience in storage systems engineering or infrastructure.
- Strong hands-on experience with object storage or distributed filesystems.
- Familiarity with storage protocols like S3 and NFS.
- Proficiency in systems programming languages such as Go, C, or Rust.
- Experience with storage observability tools and telemetry pipelines.
- Knowledge of cloud-native infrastructure and Kubernetes.
