Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain backend services deployed on AWS.
- Build and maintain RESTful APIs serving millions of customers across web and mobile platforms.
- Develop and optimize services powering card pay-in payment methods.
- Design database schemas and optimize SQL queries for high-volume PostgreSQL databases.
- Build and maintain event-driven architectures using Apache Kafka.
- Develop and maintain payment orchestration that routes payments across Payment Service Providers.
- Write unit, integration, and end-to-end automated tests for financial systems.
- Conduct code reviews and uphold engineering, security, and quality standards.
- Participate in on-call rotations for Tier 2 critical services and respond to production incidents.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, analysts, and engineers on cross-functional projects.
- Resolve performance bottlenecks, scalability issues, and technical debt.
- Apply security best practices when handling sensitive financial data and meeting financial regulations.
Requirements
- Experience designing and developing backend services and RESTful APIs.
- Experience working with cloud infrastructure, high-volume transactional data, and distributed event-driven systems.
- Proficiency with PostgreSQL and SQL query optimization.
- Experience with Apache Kafka and payment or financial systems is relevant to the platform’s responsibilities.
- Ability to write automated tests and conduct code reviews.
- Ability to address scalability, performance, security, and reliability concerns.
