Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and deploy software to improve backend reliability.
- Build and maintain cloud infrastructure tooling for global-scale availability and operational stability.
- Develop projects such as automated stability risk detection, AI outage investigation, deployment tooling, load testing, and incident management.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to understand infrastructure needs and provide robust solutions.
- Contribute to the architecture and design of new and existing cloud services.
- Use historical outages and operational pain points to make data-driven project decisions.
- Own a subdomain and lead cross-team infrastructure efforts.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral degree in Computer Science or a similar technical field.
- At least four years of experience with cloud infrastructure or backend systems.
- Experience with Python and/or Go.
- Experience with a major cloud platform, preferably AWS.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Preferred experience with Terraform, Kubernetes, Istio or another service mesh, Datadog, Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, and open-source contributions.
