Responsibilities
- Develop and deploy large-scale machine learning systems across multiple business domains.
- Design, train, improve, and launch machine learning models end to end.
- Write production-scale ML models for Stripe’s global financial infrastructure products.
- Collaborate across teams, incorporate feedback, and communicate work status effectively.
- Learn unfamiliar technologies and systems while independently addressing complex problems.
Requirements
- Pursuing a Master's degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a closely related field, with expected graduation in winter 2027 or spring/summer 2028.
- Practical programming and machine learning experience through projects, classwork, or research.
- Familiarity with Python, Scala, Spark, Pandas, NumPy, and Scikit-learn.
- Knowledge of supervised and unsupervised learning techniques and ML operations; large language model or reinforcement learning experience may be useful.
- Intent to return to the degree program after completing the internship or co-op.
- Preferred qualifications include two years of university education or equivalent experience, peer-reviewed publications and presentations, high-quality pull requests, test coverage, experience navigating new codebases, and strong written communication skills.
