Base Salary
$165k - $256k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop generative game logic generation and generative tool orchestration, integrating those tools into the game engine.
- Integrate creator-focused systems into core engine architecture to enable generative creation workflows.
- Translate research prototypes into production-ready engine features with researchers, engineers, artists, and designers.
- Contribute to engine tools, data pipelines, and runtime systems.
- Design extensible interfaces that support rapid technology iteration while preserving architectural integrity and developer usability.
- Define how emerging technologies are productized within the engine and influence creator experience.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of professional software engineering experience, including experience with AAA game engines such as Frostbite, Unity, Unreal, Godot, or proprietary engines.
- Experience working with large C++ codebases and Python.
- Proficiency in one or more engine-development domains, including gameplay, simulation, systems, content pipelines, or performance-critical systems.
- Ability to navigate unfamiliar areas of large codebases and become productive in tools, pipeline, or runtime systems.
- Experience translating applied research goals into production-ready engine features.
- Experience with emerging technologies such as AI/ML, procedural generation, context engineering, and creator-tooling systems.
- Experience writing agentic tooling and function calling, and experience with structured output and schema design.
- Experience contributing to engine architecture or developer-facing platforms.
- Proficiency with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitLab.
