Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary technical architect for the One CDC Data Platform.
- Direct full-lifecycle data operations from cloud ingestion to predictive model deployment.
- Design and implement secure multi-source data ingestion and validation processes.
- Operationalize advanced analytics SaaS environments for unified data insights.
- Architect real-time data validation checks within cloud pipelines.
- Collaborate with biostatisticians to scale predictive modeling scripts.
- Ensure compliance with the Federal SHARE IT Act for software code registration.
- Develop project architecture documentation for HHS audits.
- Incorporate zero-trust access profiles across database networks.
- Enforce secure coding principles and manage CI/CD pipeline infrastructure.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Health Informatics, Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field.
- Ability to obtain and maintain an active favorable Tier I background check.
- 8+ years of progressive data architecture experience in federal health programs.
- 5+ years of experience leading modernization initiatives in cloud configurations.
- Expertise in Databricks lakehouse frameworks and complex SQL querying.
- Experience implementing the federal SHARE IT Act and automated metadata systems.
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate or Azure Solutions Architect Expert required.
- Databricks Certified Data Engineer Professional or Data Scientist required.
- AWS Certified Data Specialist or PMP Certification preferred.
