Responsibilities
- Own backend services, front-end product services, infrastructure components, core services, MySQL deployments, and networking systems.
- Write and review code, develop documentation and capacity plans, and debug complex problems in live production.
- Collaborate with engineers across Meta’s product and infrastructure teams on systems used by billions of people.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a full-time, degree-seeking program pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or a related field.
- Experience with a Unix-like operating system such as Linux, BSDs, or Solaris, or with Windows.
- Experience coding in at least one language.
- At least 1 year of experience with new development languages, including Python, Hack/PHP, C++, Java, Rust, or GoLang.
- Must obtain and maintain work authorization in the country of employment.
- Intent to return to a full-time degree program after the internship.
- Preferred: understanding of TCP/IP networking fundamentals and internet service architectures such as load balancing, LAMP, and CDNs.
