Responsibilities
- Program, test, maintain, and support batch systems to meet client requirements.
- Create analysis and test plans for simple- to medium-complexity projects.
- Debug and resolve programming errors, system defects, job failures, and other complex system issues.
- Lead production job support and ensure failed jobs are urgently managed and resolved.
- Own batch delivery and interact with clients independently.
- Review and validate analysis documentation and test execution results.
- Collaborate with global and offshore teams to maintain effective information flow.
- Ensure batch systems remain stable, current, and aligned with delivery and quality expectations.
Requirements
- B.Tech or B.E. in Information Technology, Computer Science and Engineering, or Electronics and Communication Engineering, or BCA plus MCA.
- Hands-on expertise in SQL and SAS programming, or JCL and DB2.
- Advanced debugging skills for system and programming errors.
- Strong knowledge of batch processing, system analysis, DB2 relational databases, data models, data flows, data processing, data stores, SAS functions and utilities, JCL, and mainframe concepts.
- Ability to translate client requirements and legislation into system specifications.
- Ability to work independently, lead client-facing batch delivery, and influence teams toward solution-oriented outcomes.
- Strong verbal, written, listening, communication, ownership, accountability, quality, accuracy, and time-management skills.
- Prior Alight, Aon, or Wipro experience is an advantage; leaves, health, or retirement domain experience is preferred.
