Base Salary
$207k - $452k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable vector search, hybrid search, reranking, and structured query-planning systems.
- Design and optimize RAG pipelines for multi-step, tool-using AI agents.
- Develop ranking, relevance-modeling, and evaluation frameworks to improve search quality and answer grounding.
- Build indexing pipelines that convert heterogeneous enterprise data into unified retrieval-ready representations.
- Build entity-extraction and NLP pipelines supporting agentic reasoning over enterprise content.
- Partner with product, infrastructure, and applied research teams to ship production-grade AI capabilities.
Requirements
- Master’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Distributed Systems, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in machine learning, search infrastructure, information retrieval, or distributed systems.
- Strong hands-on experience building and operating large-scale search or data platforms in production.
- Experience building or integrating RAG systems and LLM-based applications in production.
- Proficiency in one or more of Python, Go, Java, C#, or C++.
- Strong understanding of information retrieval fundamentals, including inverted indexes, ranking, embeddings, and hybrid retrieval.
- Strong system design skills covering scale, reliability, latency, and cost trade-offs.
