Responsibilities
- Own and evolve architecture within a defined infrastructure domain across hybrid-cloud, office, data center, and cloud environments.
- Design, implement, migrate, and re-architect scalable and reliable infrastructure systems.
- Lead ambiguous, high-impact infrastructure projects and drive performance, reliability, and capacity improvements.
- Improve monitoring, alerting, operational design, incident root cause analysis, and reduction of operational toil.
- Design and support compute, DNS, networking, identity, load balancing, and other core infrastructure components.
- Build automation and internal tooling using scripting and Infrastructure as Code.
- Collaborate across IT, SRE, Security, and Service Owner teams to align technical solutions.
- Mentor engineers, guide system design and troubleshooting, and provide technical direction without direct authority.
- Maintain system documentation, diagrams, runbooks, and shared operational practices.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in systems engineering or infrastructure roles.
- Strong experience designing and operating production infrastructure.
- Expertise with VMware, Cisco UCS, application and network load balancers, Linux/Unix operating systems, networking fundamentals, and data center environments.
- Demonstrated ability to lead complex technical work across teams and provide scoped technical ownership.
- Preferred experience with Infrastructure as Code, Puppet, Ansible, Python, observability tooling, reliability practices, containerization, and modern platform tooling.
- Preferred experience with GitHub Enterprise administration, user access management, GitHub organization and repository management, SSO, SCIM integration, and policy enforcement.
