Responsibilities
- Architect and develop Java services for real-time ad auction and ranking decisions.
- Build and maintain services for scoring, filtering, and selecting winning ads.
- Design and evolve auction mechanics including second-price logic and bid shading.
- Act as a technical leader in an autonomous, cross-functional agile team.
- Collaborate with engineers, product owners, and data scientists to solve challenging problems.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience as a Backend Engineer, with proficiency in Java and ideally Scala.
- Experience in building low-latency, high-throughput systems, particularly in ad serving or real-time bidding.
- Proficient in writing distributed, high-volume services and managing them in production.
- Strong understanding of system design, data structures, and algorithms.
- Commitment to quality and experience in shipping high-quality code.
