Base Salary
$190k - $215k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and ship experiments that improve user activation, engagement, and retention from hypothesis through measurement and iteration.
- Partner with product, design, and data science to identify growth opportunities and define a prioritized technical roadmap.
- Develop onboarding flows, in-product promotions, re-engagement campaigns, and the systems supporting them.
- Design, build, and integrate services, APIs, internal systems, third-party integrations, and cloud infrastructure.
- Instrument and analyze product usage data to inform engineering and growth strategy.
- Improve the reliability, scalability, and observability of systems powering growth experiments.
- Use AI-assisted development and apply AI to product experiences where appropriate.
- Mentor peers on experimentation practices and contribute to engineering culture.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional software engineering experience, ideally including growth, activation, or lifecycle-focused work.
- Strong product sense and experience with A/B tests, product experiments, and data-informed decision-making.
- Strong full-stack skills across TypeScript, Node.js, React, PostgreSQL or MySQL, GraphQL, and AWS; full-stack experience is preferred, with openness to strong front-end-leaning engineers.
- Experience designing and integrating services and APIs, including internal and third-party integrations in cloud-based, service-oriented architectures.
- Comfort with SQL, data modeling, and data warehouses such as Snowflake or BigQuery.
- Fluency with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude, Cursor, Codex, or Devin, including prompting, validation, and refinement.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills with the ability to influence direction through evidence and technical judgment.
