Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end delivery of complex development features, including requirements evaluation, technical specifications, design, coding, estimation, risk assessment, and implementation planning.
- Build, test, deploy, monitor, and support enterprise application features through automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, hypercare, and Level 3 technical support.
- Develop and optimize Java application services, APIs, user interfaces, and database queries while following enterprise architecture and secure coding standards.
- Implement unit, integration, and contract tests; participate in code reviews and enforce coding and testing standards.
- Identify and remediate security vulnerabilities using Snyk, Checkmarx, and SonarQube in accordance with secure SDLC policies.
- Mentor junior and mid-level developers and provide technical guidance on design patterns, frameworks, debugging, and coding practices.
- Collaborate with Technical Leads, Scrum Masters, Product Owners, Business Analysts, and QA engineers in globally distributed teams.
- Act as a subject matter expert for application functionality, integration points, and core capabilities.
- Follow governance, change management, compliance, and risk-management procedures and escalate control issues appropriately.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or university degree, or equivalent experience.
- 5–8+ years of professional software engineering and systems analysis experience in enterprise Java applications.
- Proven experience as a senior individual contributor delivering complex features and modules from requirements analysis through production deployment.
- In-depth knowledge of Core Java, including concurrency, multithreading, collections, and memory management.
- Strong experience with the Spring ecosystem, including Spring Boot and Spring Batch/Integration.
- Full-stack experience with JavaScript/TypeScript and React.js workflows.
- Strong SQL and data-modeling skills with relational and NoSQL databases, including Oracle 19c and MongoDB.
- Hands-on experience writing automated unit and integration tests and working with CI/CD build and deployment pipelines.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments with globally distributed teams and managing successful projects.
- Working knowledge of consulting and project-management techniques and the ability to manage deadlines and changing requirements.
- Desirable experience in financial services, banking, capital markets, or securities services.
- Familiarity with SWIFT ISO 15022, SWIFT ISO 20022, FIX, sFTP, and NDM standards.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, interpretive, written, and verbal communication skills.
