Responsibilities
- Drive customer evaluations of Cadence Stratus HLS from initial scoping through production sign-off in partnership with field application engineers and sales teams.
- Resolve complex technical design issues for existing HLS customers and provide solutions that support platform adoption.
- Deliver hands-on training on HLS methodologies and tool features.
- Research emerging HLS capabilities, customer use cases, and AI-assisted design flows.
- Author product requirement specifications and refine functional specifications with product management and R&D.
- Define evidence-based feature requirements for the Stratus HLS tool flow and design methodology.
- Coordinate internal partners across product management, R&D, field application engineering, and solutions teams to align roadmap priorities.
- Represent customer needs in roadmap and planning discussions and provide feedback to improve product quality and reduce production risk.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline is required.
- A related master’s degree is strongly preferred.
- 5+ years of combined experience in hardware design, EDA applications engineering, product engineering, or a closely related field.
- Strong digital hardware design background targeting ASIC or FPGA, including hands-on RTL design experience.
- Working proficiency in C++ and ability to evaluate implementation-level technical trade-offs.
- Experience using hardware design and EDA tools in a Linux environment with scripted flows and command-line operation.
- Experience translating customer or stakeholder requirements into structured product or functional specifications.
- Track record managing technical engagements with external customers or users from evaluation through production adoption.
- Ability to influence technical direction across engineering, product, and field teams through clear, data-backed communication.
- SystemC knowledge is a significant advantage.
- Experience with HLS tools or methodologies such as Stratus HLS, Catapult, or Vitis HLS is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted hardware design flows, EDA field or solutions engineering, requirements management tools, Tcl scripting, and mentoring or technical training is preferred.
