
Full Stack Software Engineering Intern

Responsibilities
- Own a scoped full-stack project from design through deployment with guidance from experienced engineers.
- Build user-facing workflows using React and TypeScript.
- Develop Python backend APIs and services that ingest, transform, and serve structured and unstructured data.
- Design data models and schemas and build logic to parse, associate, and validate data from multiple sources.
- Use version control, code review, testing, and structured debugging to produce maintainable code.
- Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and Forward Deployment Engineers to understand customer workflows.
- Present the project, results, and recommended next steps at the end of the internship.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related technical discipline, with expected graduation between December 2027 and May 2028.
- Ability to work onsite in New York, Monday through Friday, for the full Summer 2027 internship.
- Foundational programming experience in Python and JavaScript or TypeScript, including object-oriented or functional programming concepts.
- Experience building an end-to-end web application through coursework, projects, research, hackathons, or a prior internship.
- Working familiarity with Git or similar version control systems.
- Understanding of relational databases and REST APIs.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to document technical work, explain tradeoffs, and collaborate on ambiguous problems.
- Ability to independently close knowledge gaps, stay organized, and learn from feedback.
- Preferred qualifications include React and TypeScript project experience, data schema or real-world dataset experience, exposure to GCP and Docker, experience integrating LLM or other AI APIs, and interest in 3D, visualization, spatial data, or industrial applications.
