Responsibilities
- Own the design, implementation, and operation of test and automation software.
- Develop software and tools supporting testing operations, including near-real-time data acquisition, control software, GUIs, and user-facing tools.
- Support test operations teams that use the software daily.
- Participate in test program design, integration, testing, deployment, debugging, and issue resolution.
- Review code written by others and produce reviewed code.
- Resolve technical issues and develop solutions for late-breaking changes or issues.
- Work onsite with a fast-paced, agile team.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of demonstrated proficiency with Python or an object-oriented programming language, plus hands-on experience operating the software.
- Experience developing user-facing software applications related to networking, hardware control, and data acquisition.
- Experience with software best practices and workflows, including Git.
- Preferred: demonstrated project ownership and ability to work effectively in small teams.
- Preferred: knowledge of data acquisition and control principles.
- Preferred: master’s degree in electrical, software, mechanical, or aerospace engineering.
- Preferred: familiarity with propulsion systems development testing.
- Preferred: LabVIEW certification such as CLAD, CLD, or CLA.
- Preferred: experience with real-time operating systems.
- Preferred: hands-on experience designing, building, and operating electrical systems.
- Preferred: experience in a startup or agile development environment.
