Responsibilities
- Mentor engineers, champion clean code, and drive a culture of technical excellence.
- Design secure, high-performance, multi-tenant microservices that operate at significant scale.
- Conduct deep-dive code reviews and contribute hands-on code when needed.
- Architect cloud solutions using AWS services including Lambda, API Gateway, EC2, S3, and RDS.
- Debug and resolve complex architectural and system challenges.
- Collaborate with Product, Design, and go-to-market teams to align technology with business goals.
- Own the engineering roadmap, lead execution, and ensure timely, high-quality releases.
- Introduce and champion tools, patterns, and practices that improve engineering effectiveness.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience as a Staff Engineer, Senior Engineer, or equivalent.
- Strong backend engineering experience with Node.js, Python, Go, or similar technologies.
- Hands-on experience building APIs with TypeScript; Express experience is a plus.
- Modern frontend experience with React, Angular, or Vue is a bonus.
- Deep SQL and NoSQL database expertise, including performance tuning.
- Demonstrated experience building and scaling platforms on AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Experience with containerization technologies such as Kubernetes or Docker.
- Strong technical leadership, mentoring, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Familiarity with DevOps and infrastructure as code; CloudFormation experience is a plus.
- Experience solving complex architecture challenges and building systems capable of handling real-world load.
