Responsibilities
- Provide capacity-allocation recommendations that balance cost, resilience, and performance.
- Partner with product teams to improve system performance and reliability before and after production launch.
- Develop software and automation using Go, Python, or similar languages.
- Automate cloud infrastructure and incident-response processes.
- Develop playbooks for actionable alerts.
- Participate in incident response, root-cause investigation, and issue resolution.
- Maintain and develop infrastructure as code for production monitoring, alerting, security, cost optimization, configuration, backup, and lifecycle operations.
- Investigate and prevent production issues through systematic problem solving.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or an equivalent combination of education, experience, and training.
- Programming skills in Go, Python, or similar languages.
- At least 3 years of experience with data structures, algorithms, programming, asynchronous and multithreaded designs.
- At least 3 years of experience building scalable and distributed cloud services.
- At least 3 years of experience operating production environments.
- At least 2 years of cross-team collaboration in a supportive role.
- Experience participating in on-call support.
- Preferred experience with monitoring and observability stacks such as Grafana and Prometheus.
- Preferred experience with Kubernetes, cloud platforms, and HashiCorp technologies.
- Knowledge or experience with AWS or GCP.
