Responsibilities
- Design and develop new functionality using Java and optionally Kotlin.
- Work with business stakeholders and business analysts on functional and non-functional requirements.
- Collaborate with QA on test automation for new and existing functionality.
- Investigate production incidents and drive stability and monitoring improvements.
- Design and implement subsystems and intersystem protocols.
- Mentor junior engineers and share technical knowledge across the team.
- Own assigned components and features from design through production delivery and support.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of experience.
- Excellent knowledge of Java; Kotlin is nice to have.
- Proficiency in high-load distributed-systems design, including consistency models, API types, and trade-offs.
- Good knowledge of algorithms, complexity, and data structures.
- Basic knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
- Basic knowledge of modern cloud technologies, including Kubernetes, ArgoCD, Grafana, and Tanka.
- Basic knowledge of Linux.
- Experience with Git, JIRA, Artifactory, and Jenkins is a plus.
- Ability to use AI tools to improve productivity and workflows while applying critical judgment to ensure responsible and ethical use of data and AI outputs.
