Responsibilities
- Build and operate scalable Lakehouse pipelines on Databricks and Azure.
- Own ELT, streaming, Delta Lake optimization, Unity Catalog governance, and CI/CD.
- Integrate ADLS, ADF, Synapse, and other Azure data services to deliver datasets for BI, ML, and GenAI.
- Design, code, enhance, and optimize software components across systems and applications.
- Collaborate across multiple teams, make technical decisions, provide solutions, and manage team performance.
- Mentor junior team members and continuously improve development processes.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional experience is required.
- At least 7.5 years of experience with Microsoft Azure Databricks is required.
- 15 years of full-time education is required.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Azure Databricks, PySpark, SQL, Databricks Delta and DLT/Workflows, Azure data services, Unity Catalog, CI/CD, MLflow, Feature Store, Power BI, streaming/CDC, vector search/RAG, and Terraform.
- Experience with programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.
- Experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS or Google Cloud is preferred.
- Understanding of software development methodologies, Agile, DevOps, data engineering concepts, and data pipeline development is required.
