Base Salary
$180k - $215k/yr
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the architecture and development of Maven’s scalable agentic AI platform.
- Define requirements with cross-functional partners and translate them into maintainable technical solutions.
- Lead or support high-impact platform initiatives that expand capabilities and accelerate the roadmap.
- Build structured, testable, resilient backend services for production-scale environments.
- Set technical direction, make architecture decisions, influence engineering practices, and mentor other engineers.
Requirements
- 8+ years of professional software engineering experience delivering production-quality systems.
- Experience building backend services with TypeScript/Node and Java.
- Experience setting technical direction, making architecture decisions, and influencing engineering best practices.
- Relevant telephony experience such as SIP, Twilio, voice routing, call-flow orchestration, messaging pipelines, or telephony integrations, or the ability to learn the domain quickly.
- Clear communication, cross-functional collaboration, and the ability to explain technical tradeoffs.
- Familiarity with LLMs, retrieval-augmented generation, or agentic systems is a plus.
- Must be based in Boston, Massachusetts or San Francisco, California and able to work hybrid from one of the company’s offices.
