Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of tests, automated test frameworks, and test suites.
- Define test strategies, scenarios, acceptance tests, and automation frameworks for complex end-to-end systems across web, mobile, and desktop platforms.
- Perform API, database, functional, non-functional, integration, and end-to-end testing, including testing API contracts between products.
- Implement Behavior Driven Development processes and create and manage defects.
- Conduct root-cause analysis using logs, data analysis, process knowledge, and software or application monitoring tools.
- Work with DevOps to resolve system-level issues and collaborate with solution, hardware, software, network, and QA engineers.
- Mentor and guide junior test automation engineers and promote continuous improvement.
- Manage and maintain QA environments and support environment improvement planning.
- Apply and refine solution integration and testing practices within the SAFe methodology.
- Engage directly with customers and stakeholders, including through customer engagements requiring travel.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science.
- 7 to 10 years of enterprise testing experience and knowledge.
- Strong retail industry and point-of-sale application testing experience.
- Hands-on object-oriented programming experience, preferably with JavaScript or TypeScript.
- Experience automating complex enterprise applications using Playwright, Selenium, or similar tools.
- Hands-on experience developing BDD feature files using Cucumber.
- Hands-on API and database testing and automation experience.
- Understanding of software architecture and ability to recommend strategies for non-functional testing initiatives.
- Strong problem-solving, accountability, ownership, and continuous-improvement skills.
- Experience working directly with customers and stakeholders.
- Ability to perform root-cause analysis and provide defect evidence and remediation recommendations.
