Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain modern web applications and backend services using JavaScript, React, Node.js, and Python.
- Build, deploy, and manage scalable AWS applications using EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, API Gateway, and CloudFormation.
- Create responsive, accessible, and performant user interfaces with React and modern frontend tooling.
- Maintain CI/CD pipelines, Docker containerized deployments, Kubernetes orchestration, and infrastructure-as-code practices.
- Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to deliver well-scoped, high-quality features.
- Participate in and lead code reviews, promote engineering best practices, and provide technical guidance to teammates.
- Apply secure coding, secret management, and AWS IAM best practices.
- Maintain technical documentation in Confluence and manage work items in Jira.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent relevant experience.
- At least 3 years of professional software engineering experience designing and delivering production applications.
- Strong proficiency with JavaScript, React, Node.js, Python, and AWS cloud development.
- Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs and working with PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, or similar databases.
- Proficiency with Git-based workflows and repository platforms such as GitHub or GitLab.
- Hands-on experience with AWS services including EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, and IAM.
- Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Understanding of software engineering fundamentals, testing strategies, and Agile/Scrum development practices.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
- US citizenship and an active TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance are required.
