Responsibilities
- Lead and facilitate technical working groups with industry, standards bodies, public-sector organizations, and trust service providers.
- Evaluate digital wallet ecosystems, reference architectures, trust frameworks, security models, and interoperability approaches.
- Assess secure communication protocols including Messaging Layer Security, Matrix, Signal, Registered Electronic Mail, and eDelivery.
- Define security, assurance, trust, authentication, authorization, key-management, encryption, auditability, logging, and non-repudiation requirements.
- Contribute to technical specifications, profiles, interfaces, APIs, data models, interoperability frameworks, and testing approaches.
- Translate eIDAS regulatory and legal requirements into interoperable technical architectures and operational models.
- Produce technical analyses, architectural recommendations, guidance, and decision-support materials for technical stakeholders and governance bodies.
Requirements
- At least 10 years of professional experience in communication infrastructures, secure communications, digital identity, trust services, cybersecurity, distributed systems, or related technical fields.
- Proven expertise in digital wallet architecture, trust frameworks, security-by-design, threat and risk analysis, secure communication, security architecture, interoperability, standardization, or digital identity technologies.
- A strong track record engineering large-scale modern communication systems and translating complex requirements into scalable architectural solutions.
- Strong hands-on experience with contemporary communication systems and related architectures.
- In-depth knowledge of architectural principles, implementation approaches, technology landscapes, and emerging industry developments.
- Expertise in one or more of Messaging Layer Security, Matrix, Signal Protocol, Registered Electronic Mail, or eDelivery, with the ability to learn related technologies quickly.
- Knowledge of electronic identification, digital identity wallets, trust services, credential lifecycle management, cryptographic algorithms, post-quantum considerations, remote identification and authentication, and privacy-enhancing technologies.
- Understanding of the eIDAS Regulation and implementing measures, with the ability to convert regulatory requirements into technical solutions.
- Experience facilitating technical discussions with public-sector organizations, standards bodies, industry, and international initiatives.
- Excellent analytical, communication, stakeholder-management, and technical-documentation skills.
- Full professional proficiency in written and spoken English.
