Base Salary
$142k - $208k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build automation tools that enable internal teams to self-service deployment, detection, alerting, and mitigation in AWS environments.
- Implement cloud security standards and best practices, including AWS IAM permissions and policies for users and workloads.
- Provide technical guidance and recommendations to application development and DevOps teams on service design and deployments.
- Own initiatives, contribute to solution design and planning, and serve as a technical resource across teams and experience levels.
- Monitor and troubleshoot inbound operational issues in AWS environments.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience building on public cloud platforms, preferably AWS.
- Experience with Terraform, GitHub Actions, Spinnaker, and Jenkins.
- Primarily backend software engineering experience with Python, databases, and APIs.
- Hands-on AWS Security and IAM administration and policy creation for multiple users and workloads.
- Familiarity with Docker, containerization, Unix/Linux systems, and operational troubleshooting techniques.
- Clear written and verbal communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders and a practical, collaborative approach.
- Preferred qualifications include AI productivity experience, AWS certifications, DevOps team support in mid-to-large multitenant organizations, SSL certificate management, and AWS networking concepts such as VPCs, firewalling, and DNS.

- The listed hiring ranges vary by location: $141,900-$190,300 in Santa Monica or Glendale; $148,700-$199,400 in New York or Seattle; and $155,400-$208,400 in San Francisco.
