Base Salary
$150k - $196k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead multiple large, cross-functional ML/AI solutions with significant and lasting business impact.
- Define and drive an 18–24-month ML/AI technical roadmap balancing innovation with reliable business value delivery.
- Influence engineering, product, operations, manufacturing, and business roadmaps while advising on priorities, resourcing, and ML/AI best practices.
- Remove technical, operational, data-related, and resource roadblocks for teams and projects.
- Shape ML/AI infrastructure, data, model, tooling, framework, governance, and operationalization decisions.
- Identify opportunities for ML/AI-driven revenue growth, cost reduction, quality improvement, and operational efficiency.
- Stay current with ML, AI, generative AI, 2D/3D modeling, and manufacturing technology developments and translate them into internal improvements.
- Optimize inference latency, model retraining intervals, feature pipelines, compute costs, and manual-task automation.
- Mentor individuals and technical teams and serve as a trusted subject-matter expert across the organization.
Requirements
- Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Applied Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field; a PhD is preferred for deep generative or 3D modeling work.
- 12+ years of professional experience in machine learning, artificial intelligence, or data science, including several years leading major programs in a senior or principal capacity.
- Experience architecting and delivering large-scale ML/AI solutions end to end, including data ingestion, feature engineering, model training, evaluation, deployment, monitoring, and operations.
- Deep expertise in TensorFlow, PyTorch, data engineering, model infrastructure, MLOps, cloud platforms, and scalable production systems.
- Experience with 3D modeling, geometry, computer vision, generative models, point-cloud or mesh processing, text-to-3D, image-to-3D, or CAD/CAM integration is highly desirable.
- Strong exposure to generative AI techniques including large language models, multimodal models, diffusion, and GANs.
- Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional partners without direct authority and drive organizational change.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, including explaining technical vision, roadmaps, trade-offs, and outcomes to senior leadership.
- Track record of delivering measurable business impact through ML/AI, such as revenue growth, cost savings, or efficiency improvements.
- Experience mentoring and guiding ML engineers, data scientists, and AI researchers and shaping team practices and career growth.
