Responsibilities
- Create and refine GitLab CI/CD pipelines for cross-compiled and embedded builds.
- Automate build, test, and deployment processes across on-premises edge hardware and GCP.
- Apply DevSecOps principles to secure and trace software delivery for edge computing.
- Manage artifact lifecycles and multi-architecture containerization using OCI and Docker.
- Develop and maintain build and deployment scripts.
- Integrate and test microcontrollers, sensor boards, autopilot hardware, firmware, and electronics systems.
- Build secure links between on-premises infrastructure and GCP.
- Integrate on-premises identity providers with GCP IAM and implement Zero Trust principles.
- Orchestrate cloud workload transitions to on-premises infrastructure and optimize egress costs and latency.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Software Engineering or equivalent professional background.
- 2–5 years of experience in EdgeOps, DevSecOps, or DevOps.
- Proficiency with GitLab CI/CD and Docker.
- Strong understanding of DevSecOps, EdgeOps, and DevOps principles.
- Expertise with Git and Git Flow.
- Scripting skills in Python and Bash.
- Linux expertise, including Debian and Ubuntu, plus ARM64 cross-compilation experience.
- Knowledge of GitLab Runners or comparable tools.
- Preferred: experience with cloud platforms and GCP services such as GCE, Cloud Build, and Artifact Registry.
- Preferred: hands-on knowledge of embedded hardware such as NVIDIA Jetson or Raspberry Pi and integration with MCU firmware.
- Clear technical communication, a solution-oriented approach, and a team-first mentality.
