Base Salary
$135k - $185k/yr
Responsibilities
- Architect, implement, scale, and maintain critical Control Center subsystems including telemetry ingestion, asset state tracking, and mission orchestration.
- Design cloud and edge services for geofence enforcement, proximity alerts, remote mission execution, and other safety-sensitive operations.
- Develop APIs, data protocols, and state synchronization frameworks with autonomy, perception, and vehicle-platform teams.
- Build resilient data pipelines and APIs that process vehicle metrics, logs, and state updates into queryable customer intelligence.
- Deploy, observe, and harden SaaS services across public cloud, private infrastructure, and air-gapped on-premise environments.
- Debug live fleet operations with field engineers and deployment leads, resolve edge cases, and improve platform reliability.
- Participate in the full software lifecycle, including CI/CD, observability, on-call rotations, and root-cause analysis.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of experience designing, building, and operating production distributed systems using Go, C++, or Python.
- Hands-on experience with high-throughput streaming architectures, event-driven systems, or time-series data management.
- Strong data modeling, API design, distributed consensus, reliability, fault tolerance, and security skills.
- Comfort owning production software across deployment, telemetry, observability, on-call, and failure analysis.
- Ability to translate ambiguous requirements into pragmatic solutions in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills spanning cloud software and hardware platforms.
- Preferred: familiarity with CAN, MQTT, DDS, or SOME/IP.
- Preferred: experience deploying Kubernetes across cloud-hosted and air-gapped or on-premise environments.
- Preferred: experience in safety-critical, functional safety, or regulated domains such as mining, automotive, or industrial automation.
