Base Salary
$144k - $224k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own and deliver software projects from design and implementation through deployment and production support.
- Build and operate services, pipelines, and tooling for security, privacy, and compliance programs.
- Partner with Security, Identity, Privacy, Infrastructure, engineering, and product teams on Twitch-wide initiatives.
- Drive observability, reliability, and operational readiness for critical systems.
- Contribute to design reviews, code reviews, technical decisions, and validation of AI-assisted output.
- Lead technical projects spanning multiple services and parallel workstreams.
- Participate in retrospectives and technical discussions while influencing decisions through technical leadership.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 3 years of experience building and operating production backend services with end-to-end ownership.
- Deep fluency in Go, Java, Python, or a similar modern programming language.
- Hands-on experience designing, deploying, and operating production services or pipelines on AWS, including infrastructure as code and safe rollout practices.
- Ability to work effectively in ambiguous and evolving problem spaces.
- Strong cross-team communication and data-driven decision-making skills.
- Preferred experience with full-stack ownership across backend APIs and frontend experiences.
- Preferred familiarity with security, data, privacy, authentication and authorization, vulnerability management, compliance workflows, and large-scale event or log data.
- Preferred experience with event-driven architectures, asynchronous processing, batch or streaming pipelines, and AI-assisted development or analysis tools.
