Responsibilities
- Own large-scale speech/audio data pipelines for collection, cleaning, filtering, labeling, augmentation, and quality control.
- Partner with senior speech engineers on term and hotword mining strategies based on ASR system output.
- Contribute to fine-tuning and evaluating speech and language models to improve recognition accuracy for code-switching, names, and product terms.
- Fine-tune models with scenario-specific data to improve recognition of industry-specific terms across key languages and verticals.
- Build test sets and keyword/domain-lexicon-based evaluation frameworks.
- Benchmark internal models against open-source and commercial baselines.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience in speech, machine learning, or large-scale data engineering.
- Experience with ASR or SpeechLLM model training, fine-tuning, or evaluation; LLM or general ML model training/fine-tuning; or large-scale audio, video, or text data pipelines.
- Solid Python and PyTorch fundamentals.
- Experience with distributed data processing such as Spark or Ray.
- Familiarity with SpeechLLM or speech self-supervised learning concepts is preferred.
- Exposure to StepAudio or Qwen3-Omni is preferred.
- Experience with hotword or contextual-biasing improvements or code-switching ASR improvements is preferred.
- Publications at Interspeech, ICASSP, or other top AI venues, or speech-related patents, are preferred.
- Experience owning a large speech-data workstream in a speech-model training project is preferred.
