Responsibilities

  • Test complex and safety-critical ETCS Level 2 application software, primarily the Trusted Computing Based Component of the Radio Block Centre.
  • Write positive and negative test cases and perform requirements-based testing.
  • Conduct robustness and cybersecurity testing.
  • Test certificate validity, revocation, invalid certificates, expired keys, and message authentication.
  • Analyze network packets and secure communications using Wireshark and tcpdump.
  • Develop or use test automation with Linux, Ruby, and Python.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Transportation, Electronics, Mathematics, Physics, or a similar field, with an engineering background.
  • Advanced requirements-based testing, Linux, TCP/IP networking, tcpdump analysis, Wireshark, and packet-analysis skills.
  • Advanced TLS and secure-communication knowledge.
  • Medium-to-advanced PKI, CMP, X.509 certificates, ERA/UNISIG SUBSET-137, SUBSET-146, cryptography, and cybersecurity-testing knowledge.
  • Intermediate Ruby or Python scripting skills.
  • Knowledge of CENELEC EN 50128, EN 50716, EN 50126, or EN 50129 is a plus.
  • Railway business or ETCS experience is a plus.
