Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automated end-to-end test scenarios for web applications.
- Perform automated testing across UI and API layers.
- Validate application behavior from UI and API interactions through the application, backend, and database.
- Compare expected and actual results and validate transaction and API outcomes at database level.
- Investigate defects, troubleshoot failures across UI, API, and database layers, and document findings.
- Analyze test results, identify root causes, and collaborate with developers and stakeholders to ensure test coverage.
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a comparable field.
- Hands-on experience developing and maintaining UI and REST API test automation with Playwright or Cypress.
- Experience with manual software testing, preferably in Agile environments such as Scrum.
- Knowledge of testing methodologies, test management, and QA documentation.
- Experience with test management tools including Jira and Xray.
- Experience writing and maintaining test specifications using Gherkin syntax.
- Understanding of BDD concepts; Cucumber experience is a plus.
- Basic understanding of the software development lifecycle and version control systems such as Git.
- Fluent German is mandatory.
