Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automated end-to-end test scenarios for web applications.
- Perform automated testing across UI and API layers.
- Validate application behavior across UI, API, backend, and database layers.
- Use SQL to verify persisted data, transaction outcomes, API results, and test data.
- Investigate defects, troubleshoot application behavior, analyze test failures, and document defects.
- Collaborate with developers and stakeholders to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a comparable field.
- Hands-on experience developing and maintaining UI and REST API test automation with Playwright or Cypress.
- Experience with manual software testing and testing methodologies, preferably in Agile environments.
- Experience with test management tools such as Jira and Xray.
- Experience writing test specifications using Gherkin syntax and understanding of BDD concepts.
- Good SQL knowledge for querying, validating, comparing, and preparing application data.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in German.
- ISTQB certification, Git experience, Cucumber experience, and PL/SQL or Oracle database experience are advantageous.
