Responsibilities
- Design, develop, execute, and maintain test strategies, test plans, test cases, and test automation for UI, API, system, and end-to-end testing.
- Build scalable automation frameworks and integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, exploratory, manual, and automated testing.
- Validate REST APIs and backend services using automated and manual testing approaches.
- Analyze test results, investigate defects, perform root-cause analysis, and collaborate with developers on resolutions.
- Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot test environments across Windows, Linux, virtualized, and cloud platforms.
- Improve testing processes, quality standards, automation productivity, test coverage, and release readiness.
- Communicate quality status, risks, defects, and technical findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in software quality assurance and test automation.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Hands-on experience developing and maintaining automation frameworks using Python and tools such as Selenium or Playwright.
- Experience testing and automating REST APIs, including HTTP methods, status codes, authentication, request/response validation, and error handling.
- Experience with Postman, Python Requests, REST Assured, or similar API testing technologies.
- Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, test planning, case design, execution, defect management, regression testing, and root-cause analysis.
- Strong understanding of networking and network security, including TCP/IP, HTTP/HTTPS, DNS, DHCP, routing, firewalls, NAT, and VPN.
- Experience configuring and troubleshooting Linux and Windows test environments, virtual machines, networking configurations, and environment management.
- Networking, cybersecurity, or enterprise software product testing experience is highly desirable.
- Working knowledge of AWS and exposure to Docker, Kubernetes, and containerized deployments are preferred.
- Ability to understand product architecture and technical designs and translate requirements into effective test coverage and automation strategies.
- Experience with AI-powered development and testing tools such as GitHub Copilot or Claude Code is preferred.
- Strong communication, collaboration, mentoring, teamwork, and continuous-improvement skills.
