Responsibilities
- Configure and develop Salesforce Marketing Cloud Next and Salesforce Data 360 solutions from approved architectures and user stories.
- Create and maintain customer data models, Data Lake Objects, Data Model Objects, data streams, mappings, transformation logic, unified profiles, identity resolution rulesets, segments, and activation targets.
- Build Marketing Cloud Next audiences, campaigns, flows, event triggers, personalisation rules, orchestration components, and customer engagement journeys.
- Develop integrations using Salesforce APIs, Data Cloud connectors, Salesforce Flow, middleware platforms, and event-driven integration patterns.
- Support migration of legacy marketing automations, journeys, subscriber data, campaign logic, content, and preference structures.
- Implement consent, preference, suppression, retention, and communication governance requirements.
- Create SQL queries, API payloads, mapping specifications, technical documentation, deployment documentation, and operational handover materials.
- Support testing, release planning, deployment, environment management, post-release validation, source control, and release management.
- Collaborate with architects, developers, clients, security, governance, and architecture teams to deliver secure, scalable solutions and manage technical risks.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience with customer data concepts including ingestion, data streams, Data Lake Objects, Data Model Objects, identity resolution, unified profiles, segmentation, and activation.
- At least 3 years of experience building Salesforce solutions with declarative tools such as Salesforce Flow, configuration, validation rules, permissions, and data management features.
- Practical experience with Salesforce Data 360, Salesforce Data Cloud, Marketing Cloud Next, Marketing Cloud Growth, Marketing Cloud Advanced, or comparable customer data and marketing automation platforms.
- Understanding of customer engagement and marketing automation concepts including audiences, campaigns, journeys, event triggers, personalisation, consent, and preference management.
- Experience writing and troubleshooting SQL queries and working with CSV, JSON, and XML data.
- Experience integrating systems through REST APIs, SOAP APIs, file-based interfaces, middleware, connectors, or event-driven approaches.
- Understanding of software development lifecycle practices, source control, testing, deployment, defect management, and structured release processes.
- Understanding of secure development, data privacy, customer consent, governance, and responsible customer communications.
- Salesforce certifications such as Salesforce Data 360, Marketing Cloud, Marketing Cloud Next, Platform App Builder, Platform Developer, or Agentforce are advantageous.
- Experience with Journey Builder, Automation Studio, Email Studio, Content Builder, AMPscript, SSJS, subscriber management, Apex, Lightning Web Components, Salesforce CLI, Git, DevOps tooling, automated testing, or CI/CD pipelines is beneficial.
- Experience with MuleSoft, Snowflake, Databricks, Azure Data Lake, AWS, Google Cloud, batch or streaming ingestion, data federation, zero-copy, data sharing, near-real-time activation, Agentforce, Salesforce AI, Tableau, Marketing Intelligence, or analytics platforms is beneficial.
- Experience supporting B2B or B2C customer engagement across sales, service, marketing, commerce, loyalty, or customer service channels is advantageous.
- Consulting, enterprise transformation, agile delivery, or multi-vendor experience is beneficial.
- Must obtain UK Security Check clearance and have resided continuously in the United Kingdom for the last 5 years.
