Base Salary
$160k - $250k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and build agentic workflows for code generation, code review, testing, and release automation.
- Improve context-grounding systems so AI agents retrieve relevant information efficiently and accurately.
- Tune model routing to match tasks with appropriate models while considering compute and model costs.
- Build observability, dashboards, usage insights, benchmark suites, and quality tooling for AI agents.
- Establish empirical benchmarks for bug detection, review quality, latency, and other real-world engineering tasks.
- Partner with engineering teams to identify workflow friction and develop automated agent-driven capabilities.
- Promote responsible and effective AI adoption across the engineering organization.
Requirements
- 5+ years of backend or platform engineering experience, ideally with production Kubernetes systems.
- Hands-on experience building or operating LLM-agent infrastructure, including harnesses, tool-integration protocols, or subagent orchestration.
- Strong understanding of LLM application mechanics, including context windows, prompt design, caching, and reasoning or latency tradeoffs.
- Experience using AI technologies to improve decision-making, workflows, efficiency, and business outcomes.
- Proficiency in Go and/or Python.
- Experience building internal developer platforms, observability tooling, or cost and governance dashboards.
- Ability to work with ambiguous and evolving specifications.
- Preferred qualifications include experience with AI coding-agent frameworks or SDKs, graph-based context systems, large-scale event pipelines, and benchmark-driven optimization programs.
