Base Salary
$144k - $194k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and implement customer-facing AWS Transfer Family features and performance optimizations.
- Analyze data to guide design decisions and measure the effectiveness of changes.
- Debug complex distributed systems issues through careful analysis and problem-solving.
- Review technical proposals and code from team members and partner teams.
- Participate in software development lifecycle activities including coding, design, testing, operations, and source control.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- At least 2 years of non-internship design or architecture experience involving design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- At least 1 year of software development engineer or related occupational experience.
- At least 1 year of experience designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded, or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using C#, C++, Java, or Perl.
- At least 1 year of Object-Oriented Design experience.
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
- Preferred: at least 3 years of full software development lifecycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Preferred: bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
- Preferred: experience using AI-assisted development tools such as Kiro, Cursor, Claude Code, or GitHub Copilot.

- Base salary range is $143,700.00–$194,400.00 annually in Boston, Massachusetts.
