Base Salary
$230k - $250k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own AI and agentic security guardrails for cloud and data access and the security of AI and ML workloads.
- Publish and drive adoption of the organization’s AI-security standard.
- Own Panther detection strategy and coverage across cloud, container, and SaaS log sources.
- Own incident-response plans, playbooks, tested tabletops, and response readiness tied to HIPAA breach-notification timelines.
- Lead complex security initiatives across Platform, Engineering, and Compliance.
- Serve as the senior resource for cloud security, code reviews, architecture reviews, and threat modeling.
- Mentor teammates, set detection-authoring and code-review standards, and help raise the hiring bar.
- Build security automation and contribute to the team’s security tooling.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in security and software engineering.
- Hands-on experience with AWS, cloud-native infrastructure, EKS, and Terraform.
- Depth securing LLM applications, agentic frameworks, MCP, prompt injection, and agentic access.
- Experience designing, authoring, and tuning detections in a modern SIEM.
- Incident-response experience, including building plans and leading responses.
- Ability to write production code in Python, Go, or TypeScript and build security tooling.
- Working knowledge of SOC 2 and HIPAA.
- Experience leading complex cross-team security work and mentoring engineers.
- Preferred qualifications include recognized AI-security work, startup or regulated health-tech experience, deeper Kubernetes/EKS, Helm, infrastructure-as-code, or policy-as-code expertise, and experience consolidating or retiring a security platform.
