Base Salary
$150k - $226k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable, secure, performant, and cost-efficient cloud infrastructure using automation tools.
- Identify functional and nonfunctional cloud infrastructure requirements from complex system designs.
- Apply cloud architecture standards, policies, and guidelines while supporting data privacy and regulatory compliance.
- Automate infrastructure and cloud operations for Verily products across GCP and other cloud providers using Infrastructure as Code.
- Build self-service workflows to reduce repetitive cloud operations toil.
- Establish observability systems and lead incident management processes to support high system availability.
- Develop documentation and training materials and promote cloud technologies and best practices across the engineering organization.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- At least 5 years of experience with public cloud platforms such as GCP or AWS and large-scale cloud operations.
- At least 5 years of experience managing cloud infrastructure with Infrastructure as Code and GitOps tools.
- At least 2 years of experience with Go, Python, or Shell and implementing scalable, reliable, and secure cloud network solutions.
- At least 2 years of experience establishing observability systems and leading incident management for production systems with 99.9% uptime or higher.
- Preferred qualifications include hands-on GCP experience, deep Kubernetes knowledge or Certified Kubernetes Administrator certification, familiarity with Atlantis or Terraform Cloud, experience managing complex distributed systems in public cloud environments, and strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience writing technical and design documentation is preferred.
Benefits
- US base salary range of $150,000–$226,000, plus bonus, equity, and benefits.
- Full-time position with the specific salary determined by work location, skills, experience, and education or training.
- Employer-sponsored US work authorization is not available now or in the future.
