Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, validate, troubleshoot, optimize, and maintain mission-engineering software applications using Python, C++, and Java.
- Work with Unix/Linux operating systems, shell scripting, debugging, system-level programming, APIs, system libraries, and hardware interfaces.
- Implement scalable and maintainable software using sound architecture and design practices.
- Collaborate with product management, QA, DevOps, and cross-functional engineering teams to ensure code quality and standards compliance.
- Create technical specifications, user guides, and other software documentation.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum development cycles, sprint planning, estimation, trade studies, analyses of alternatives, and technology-use-case evaluation.
- Present credible technical and analytical results to customers and support complex defense-system solutions.
Requirements
- A degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics and at least 2 years of prior relevant experience are typically required.
- Experience using Python, Java, and C/C++.
- Experience with version-control tools such as Git and program configuration-management processes.
- Experience working on Linux and Windows platforms in a collaborative development environment.
- Ability to obtain and maintain an interim Secret U.S. government security clearance before starting; U.S. citizenship is required.
- Experience supporting analyses and studies, defining and executing studies, evaluating concepts of operation, and developing technology use cases.
- Strong technical and analytical skills are required.
- Active Secret clearance is preferred.
- Experience with Python or other scripting languages, Docker or similar orchestration services, JSON, XML, UML, and SysML is preferred or beneficial.
