Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Design and implement Ansible-based Infrastructure as Code for VMware vCenter, bare-metal systems, and cloud environments.
- Create reusable Ansible roles and collections for consistent deployment across target platforms.
- Develop custom Ansible modules, plugins, filters, and REST API integrations using Python.
- Build and maintain automation code validation and deployment pipelines.
- Integrate automation with Git, secrets management, monitoring platforms, and enterprise systems.
- Document runbooks, architecture diagrams, and operational procedures.
- Monitor automation execution, troubleshoot failures, and improve reliability and performance.
- Participate in on-call support for critical automation infrastructure.
- Track deployment frequency, success rates, time savings, and other automation metrics.
Requirements
- University degree or equivalent experience and at least 8 years of relevant experience, or an advanced related degree and at least 5 years of experience.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance, with an active existing clearance required after day one.
- U.S. citizenship required for security-clearance eligibility.
- Experience with Ansible execution environments and containerized automation.
- Programming and scripting experience, including Active Directory and Group Policy automation.
- Linux system administration experience, preferably with RHEL or CentOS.
- Windows Server administration experience with Windows Server 2019 or 2022.
- Preferred experience includes VMware vSphere/vCenter administration, network and storage configuration, and VM lifecycle management.
- Preferred experience includes at least 2 years of advanced PowerShell scripting and Desired State Configuration.
- Preferred experience includes at least 3 years of Python development, including REST API development and consumption.
- Preferred experience includes bare-metal provisioning with PXE, Kickstart, Preseed, and hardware management.
- Preferred knowledge includes operating-system security, hardening, compliance frameworks, system internals, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
- Preferred experience includes 4 or more years of hands-on Ansible work and deep knowledge of playbooks, roles, collections, inventories, vault, Ansible Galaxy, Jinja2, and YAML.
