Responsibilities
- Develop scalable platform capabilities and web service APIs to meet business requirements.
- Assess operational feasibility and validate proposed solutions through proofs of concept and prototypes.
- Write maintainable, extensible, testable, and performant code.
- Own services at scale and make informed engineering decisions quickly.
- Collaborate cross-functionally and adopt useful new concepts and technologies.
- Explore practical applications of AI-assisted engineering tools to improve developer productivity, code quality, and delivery efficiency.
- Mentor and support junior team members.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
- Around 3+ years of experience developing commercial software.
- Experience working with web service APIs using Java and Spring.
- Experience delivering solutions on GCP or AWS using a broad range of available services.
- Experience working collaboratively and demonstrating sound engineering judgment.
- Problem-solving ability, curiosity, humility, empathy, and willingness to support colleagues.
