Responsibilities
- Design and develop robust, scalable database automation solutions.
- Advise software engineers on Oracle database internals and execute database benchmarking with supporting automation.
- Code database management tooling in PL/SQL and Java.
- Define specifications for database-specific roadmap items and own database architecture.
- Perform on-call incident response, troubleshooting, and customer support.
- Influence team strategy, establish best practices, mentor engineers, and resolve complex or endemic problems.
- Present database best practices at conferences and workshops.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Five years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the offered job or a related occupation.
- At least one year of experience designing scalable database automation solutions, advising on database internals, building benchmarking automation, and coding database management tooling in PL/SQL and Java.
- At least one year of experience with database roadmap specifications, customer database solutions architecture, and on-call incident response, troubleshooting, and support.
