Software Engineer II
Guidewire SoftwareResponsibilities
- Engineer moderate to complex features for Guidewire’s platform and products.
- Prototype solutions from high-level problem statements with substantial independence.
- Collaborate with colleagues inside and outside the immediate team to resolve complicated issues.
- Troubleshoot system failures across production, pre-production, and non-production environments.
- Design and write high-quality software and contribute to continuous improvement.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience in a software engineering role, including at least 2 years of professional Java engineering experience.
- Strong core Java expertise and object-oriented design skills.
- Ability to work onsite in Dublin at least 2 days per week and more frequently during peak spike week periods.
- Passion for code quality.
- Knowledge of Kotlin, Python, or bash is preferred.
- Experience with continuous integration and delivery, build and code management tools, web services, cloud services, and collaborative cross-functional development is preferred.
- Experience with SOAP or REST, AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform is preferred.
- Ability to use AI and data-driven insights to improve innovation, productivity, and outcomes.
