Base Salary
$159k - $191k/yr
Responsibilities
- Guide infrastructure and CI/CD architecture and make complex technical decisions.
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers and conduct code and architecture reviews.
- Architect and maintain Terraform or Pulumi infrastructure across AWS and GCP.
- Own and optimize Jenkins and Spinnaker deployment pipelines.
- Secure and standardize card-payment infrastructure and mitigate vulnerabilities.
- Automate AWS AMI and Docker container image lifecycles using configuration management tools.
- Troubleshoot and optimize Linux systems, including kernel-level performance tuning.
- Scale Vector, Datadog, and Splunk logging, monitoring, dashboards, and alerting.
- Participate in on-call incident response, lead postmortems, and automate repetitive operational work.
Requirements
- Proven experience guiding technical direction, making architectural decisions, and mentoring engineers.
- Hands-on experience with Terraform and/or Pulumi for complex cloud infrastructure.
- Strong experience configuring, scaling, and troubleshooting Jenkins pipelines and Spinnaker deployments.
- Expert-level Linux operating systems and low-level performance troubleshooting experience.
- High proficiency with Python and Bash scripting and software automation.
- Strong AWS experience, including EC2, load balancers, and AMI building, plus operational familiarity with GCP.
- Advanced Docker containerization experience and familiarity with configuration management tools such as Ansible.
- Experience administering and scaling enterprise logging and monitoring solutions, specifically Vector, Datadog, and Splunk.
- Experience building and maintaining secure infrastructure in highly regulated or card-payment environments.
- Ability to lead cross-functional incident responses and contribute to knowledge sharing.
- Exposure to Kubernetes-native architectures such as EKS or GKE is a plus.
